Data Protection

  1. General Information

Responsibility for the website lies with Lohmann GmbH & Co. KG represented by the Managing Directors Elmar Boeke Martin Schilcher Irlicher Straße 55 56567 Neuwied, VAT identification number in accordance with Article 27 of the German Turnover Tax Law (Umsatzsteuergesetz): DE 149 511 906, Tel.: +49 2631 34-0, E-mail: (hereinafter: Lohmann). To the extent that Lohmann acquires data, this is undertaken in conformity with the applicable provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz - BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz - TMG).

  2. Collection of Anonymous Data

    Access Data/Server Logfiles

The provider (or their webspace provider) collects data on every access to the online offering (called "server logfiles"). Access data includes: The name of the requested web page, the file, date and time of the request, the amount of data sent, notification that the web page was successfully opened, browser type plus version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the page visited immediately before), IP address and the requesting provider. The provider only uses the log data for statistical analyses as is necessary for running, safeguarding and optimizing the web offering. However, the provider reserves the right to retrospectively inspect the log data should specific grounds give rise to the legitimate suspicion of unlawful use.

Embedded Services and Content from Third Parties

Content from third parties, such as YouTube videos, map materials from Google Maps, RSS Feeds or graphics from other websites, may at times be embedded in the Lohmann website. This always presupposes that the providers of such content (hereinafter "Third Party Provider") may see the IP address of the user. Without the IP address they would be unable to send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore essential for such content to be displayed. We strive to only use such content for which the respective provider uses the IP addresses for the sole purpose of supplying the content. However, we are powerless to prevent Third Party Suppliers from storing the IP addresses, e.g. for statistical purposes. Insofar as we are aware of such activity, we shall inform the user accordingly.

    Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on users' computers, to help the website analyze how the site is used. The information generated by the cookie about use of this website is transmitted to and stored by Google on a server in the United States. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, Google will first shorten the user's IP address within the member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the United States and shortened there. IP anonymization is activated on this website. On behalf of the website provider Google will use this information for the purpose of analyzing use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and Internet usage to the website provider.

Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Users may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on their browser, however please note that if users do this they may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Furthermore, users can prevent Google’s collection and use of data (cookies and IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in (available at More information on this can be found in the general information about Google Analytics and data protection. We would like to inform you that Google Analytics has been extended on this website with the code "gat._anonymizeIp();" in order to ensure the anonymous acquisition of IP addresses (IP masking).
  3. Collection of Personal Data

Lohmann uses the contractual data of the user, i.e. their personal data, exclusively for the purpose of fulfilling its contractual obligations and to the extent that the data was provided voluntarily. This also includes personal data specified to contact Lohmann (e.g. via contact form). Lohmann does not share personal data - including the user's home address and e-mail address - with third parties without the express permission of the user, which may be revoked at any time.

  6. Facebook

Plugins for the social networking site are used on these web pages. The site is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). By opening one of our web pages that features such a plugin, a connection is established to the Facebook servers and the plugin is displayed in the web page through communication with your browser. This informs the Facebook servers which of our web pages you have visited. If you are logged in as a member of Facebook at the time, Facebook files this information in your personal Facebook user account. By using the plugin functions (e.g. clicking the "Like" button, making a comment), this information is also allocated to your user account. This can only be prevented by logging out of Facebook before using the plugin. More information on the acquisition and use of data by Facebook and your rights and options relating to the protection of your privacy can be found in Facebook's data protection information.

  7. Twitter

Twitter is a form of microblogging. It is also defined as a social network or a mostly public online diary. Companies and the media use Twitter as a news-distribution platform. If a registered user clicks on the Twitter button, they may then "tweet" this page and also add a personal comment of no more than 140 characters. Twitter collects the personal data of its users and shares these with third parties. Twitter views this information as an asset and reserves the rights to sell these data if the company changes hands. It is currently unclear whether the personal data of users who are not members of Twitter is also collected by when the Twitter button is pressed.
